WHY HAVE "THE DEAD PROPHET"?
We are living in challenging times for those who still hold to traditional family values and godly morals. These very things we hold dear are under attack and being stripped away from us by liberal politicians and the perverse society we live in. I believe the dead prophet is an opportunity to reach out to fellow believers and discuss the real issues we are facing in both society and in the church. So many churches are selling out their faith to the secular culture. We only are focusing on the “love” of God rather than also talking about His righteousness, holiness, and justice, and working on how we are to model our lives after Christ
THREEFOLD FOCUS OF MINISTRY
To encourage believers to live their faith out loud in the midst of a post-Christian, anti-god and secular culture.
To choose to counter the current political culture with the truth of God’s Word
To strive to live an authentic Christian life, allowing Christ to grow in and through our lives on a daily basis according to the example set by Christ in His Holy Scriptures.

ABOUT ME
Mike Beckett
Mike Beckett was born and raised in New Jersey. He grew up in the church attending the United Methodist Church in town. As a young boy, Mike developed a yearning to learn about God. When Mike was entering the sixth grade, his parents enrolled him in a local Christian school. It was there that Mike was challenged daily to put his faith in the Lord. One evening, while Mike was in seventh grade attending the local youth group of the church associated with the Christian school he attended, Mike gave his life to the Lord. Mike’s original plan in life was to pursue a career as a major league baseball umpire. Growing up in New Jersey, Mike spent many summers hanging out with family and many of major league baseball’s elite umpires, such as the lates Doug Harvey, John Kibbler, Oggy Donatello and many others.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to address both the issues facing the church and Christians living in a secular and godless society. Making believers aware of what is actually going on, is the first step. Not only are we to become aware of the issues, but we also need to become advocates for both our Christian faith and religious freedom. We will also bring guests on the show regularly to discuss relevant topics that we can apply to our lives and grow in our faith. The Lord tells us in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” None of us is perfect. We all have flaws and continue to struggle in our faith. But I believe through the ministry of the dead prophet we can develop a community of believers who can be real with our faith, honest with ourselves, and aware of what we need to do to become more like Jesus, so we can represent an authentic Jesus to a continued godless society
